**Part-Time** $20.00/hr 3-4 shifts per week

**About Us**

Ecusta Market & Cafe is a brand-new, local grocery and cafe situated on the Ecusta Trail just outside downtown Hendersonville. We are dedicated to offering quality goods to our community. We proudly support local farmers and producers and strive to create a one-of-a-kind shopping experience. We are seeking a dynamic and organized Market Floor Manager to join our team and work closely with the General Manager in delivering a seamless shopping experience.

**Position Overview**

The Market Floor Manager will play a key role in the day-to-day operations of the market. This person will be responsible for assisting with receiving deliveries, managing inventory, and ensuring that the market floor is stocked, organized, and inviting for customers. You will work closely with the General Manager to oversee the flow of products and ensure that our commitment to quality is upheld.

**Responsibilities**

- Assist the General Manager with receiving and processing deliveries.

- Oversee inventory management, including ordering, stocking, and product rotation.

- Ensure products are properly displayed, with a focus on promoting local and artisan goods.

- Maintain a clean, well-organized, and attractive market floor.

- Train and supervise staff on inventory procedures and merchandising best practices.

- Collaborate with the General Manager to track inventory levels and adjust orders as needed.

- Foster relationships with local farmers and vendors to support our mission of sustainability.

- Stay knowledgeable about the farmers and producers we work with, sharing their stories with customers (there will be on-the-job and ongoing training).

- Support sustainable practices and help find ways to reduce waste.

- Monitor and address customer inquiries and feedback regarding market products.

-Work with the GM on hiring for both the cafe and market.

**Qualifications**

- Previous management experience is required.

-Previous retail and/or grocery experience is a major plus but is not required.

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

- Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities.

- Experience in working with deliveries and stock management is a plus.

- Interest in or knowledge of local, organic, and sustainable products.

- Excellent communication and leadership skills.

-Being an outdoor enthusiast is a plus—we are right on the Ecusta Trail.

- Ability to lift 50 lbs.

-Ability to be on your feet for long periods of time.
